
About Health Literacy Program at Sohna Dhani Government School
The Department of Public Health, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), recently organized a comprehensive Health Literacy Program at Sohna Dhani Government School. This initiative aimed to educate and raise awareness among students about various aspects of health and hygiene. Under the guidance of Dr. Pranava Prakash, HOD, Public Health, the program featured a lineup of dedicated Master of Public Health (MPH) students who shared valuable insights on different health topics.
Program Highlights:
1. Oral Hygiene by Dr. Sakshi Tewatia (BDS):
Dr. Sakshi Tewatia discussed the significance of oral hygiene, emphasizing the importance of regular dental care practices and the prevention of dental issues.

2. Hygiene by Abheek Roy:
Abheek highlighted the crucial role of personal hygiene in maintaining good health and preventing the spread of diseases.

3. Nutrition by Arun Sharma:
Arun addressed the vital aspect of nutrition, educating students about balanced diets, essential nutrients, and the significance of making healthy food choices.

4. Vector-Borne Diseases by Dr Sakshi and Dr Pinky Kada:
They shed light on vector-borne diseases and the importance of measures like mosquito control to prevent these diseases.

Appreciation from Principal:
Mr. Dushyant, the school principal, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for this educational initiative.
